Anthony Randolph suffered a mild ankle sprain but returned to action to help lead the Warriors to a 95-86 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Anthony’s injury occurred on a fast break opportunity where Warriors point guard CJ Watson threw an errant pass to a trailing Anthony Randolph, which forced him to reach out awkwardly and roll his ankle. Anthony went out of the game and was looked over by the trainers before returning with a noticeable limp.
After the game Anthony was sporting an ice pack and was in visible discomfort, but sounded optimistic about playing in more games during summer league. “It’s in a lot of pain now, but I just wanted to finish the game,” Randolph said. “I’ll probably rest it tomorrow and see how it goes.”
The Warriors next game is against DJ Augustin and the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday, July 15th, at 7:30 PM.
