Bobcats workout

Anthony spent Wednesday working out with the Charlotte Bobcats, owners of the 9th pick in the NBA draft.

Anthony was pleased with his performance and head coach Larry Brown was impressed with Anthony’s skill set and athleticism.

“I can see why he’s projected to go pretty high on the draft,” said coach Brown. “He’s real coachable. He’s highly skilled. I don’t think he’ll be 19 until January. He can handle the ball. He’s athletic. I know he’s left handed and right away you think of Chris Bosh. I remember when Chris was young and physically, they are very similar at this stage. I can see why people are very high on him. He’s got to fill out a little to work on his inside game. He’s just really skilled. He’s a great kid. He’s got a chance to pretty special.”

Anthony enjoyed the hands on experience that the Bobcats and coach Brown provided. “It was great. It was a lot of teaching unlike the other workouts,” said Anthony said after his workout. “They really focus on making you better. I think it’s great just to see how the NBA coaches teach you and (being able to) learn from a great coach.”
